Persistence

Its been a while. It seems that everyone is busy during this part of the year including myself. Many say life sucks. Many more say life is not fair. & some hate their life so much they would rather die. I pity them but they may have their reason. Well all of them can say what they want but life ain't going to get any better if they do.

Everyday, for a normal average person, whatever they do or whoever they are, life will throw something at him/her. As time goes by, it seems more & more things are thrown at him/her. What differs a person from another person is how the person react to what life throws at them. IF they react that is. Some would whine, moan & complain if its something against their favor. I would not call that a reaction. That is a counter productive, although intuitive, way of spreading negative energy. Or simply bullshit. A reaction is when YOU take action on what life throws at you. Don't just sit & cry while life throws apples at you. Throw them back at life or better, make apple juice from them. Always see a problem as an opportunity. Life is not that cruel to throw you apples for no reason. There is a reason in every single thing, even if it doesn't make sense.

Persistence is a valuable asset to anyone. Having the ability to hold on & remain calm in tense situations & hostile environment is what makes a person achieve the best of the best. At this exact moment of writing this post, I know now why I kept doing the hard work & stay in SIFE. I know now why I treat my girl like a princess (I hope so:P). Because I want what I see in the future achieved. I want to hold what I want in my own hands. I know it is possible. Persistence is the key. & we shall wait & see.

Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all.

Hope

There was once a time where my hope became expectations, expectations became reality, and everything in the world seems to go in my favour. I couldn't be more happier. life can't get any better but as i grew up, and several events transpired, I learned that life can punch you hard in the face and laugh at your swollen eyes. I was demoralized beyond imagination, but I've also learned to get up and give life a harder punch. hahaha. I know I can't win, but I won't go down without a fight. Not now.

Having hope, hoping for something to happen, as though they will absolutely happen, as if by the sheer power of our will alone it will happen. High hopes give birth to high expectations. In certain things,  high expectations can drive one to greater heights, working hard, full filling their expectations. However, expecting your expectations to come true by itself will only take you as far as your dream. Nowhere. When a high expectation comes crashing down, your feelings go down with it, as though theres nothing in the world left to do, feeling confused as well. Especially when the actual thing is so different from the expectation. Or when you put in a tremendous effort in it, expecting you'll reach your expectation. Healing the wounds from such a  fall my take a while, or it may even never heal. Always hope for the best, but have moderate expectations.
For the future is never certain.

"A great Hope fell
You heard no noise
The Ruin was within
Oh cunning wreck that told no tale
And let no Witness in"

-Emily Dickinson(An American Poet)-

It is generally known, that he who expects much will be often disappointed, & yet disappointment seldom cures us of expectation, or has any effect other than that of producing a moral deboost (opposite of boost, i guess:P) or peevish exclamation. So should you or should you not expect highly of something? Thats for you to decide.

“Expecting the world to treat you fairly because you are a good person is a little like expecting a bull not to attack you because you are a vegetarian”
